The bhikkhu [or bhikkhuni] who delights in awareness,
Who sees in unawareness the fearful,
Goes, burning, like a fire,
The fetter subtle and gross.
The monk [or nun] delighting in heedfulness,
seeing danger in heedlessness,
advances like a fire,
great & small.
The monk [or nun] who delights in heedfulness and looks with fear at heedlessness advances like fire, burning all fetters, small and large.
